Tucked away on a charming Avignon street, you will find the enchanting world of Pascal Palun inside her mesmerizing studio, Vox Populi. Here lies brocante treasure, beautiful objects and fabulous lighting that travel the world once they leave Pascal’s watchful and trained eye.
I am forever in love with all these types of things and the style is being mimicked everywhere now (see my post, Everywhere I look). Ever wonder about the magic behind the gorgeous displays in Anthropologie stores (a personal favorite)? They use Pascal’s talents to add charm and intrigue to their boutiques. Ever wonder where French flair decor from big retailers such as Ballard Designs, Pottery Barn and Restoration has been inspired? They will tell you it is from the flea markets of Paris, and while that is true, it has often already been found by Pascal. It’s my hunch that the designers from these mega companies frequent this amazing studio.
Let me show you what I am talking about… Photos are from Milan photography company, Living Inside (another personal favorite).
What do you think?
ps. HAPPY SUMMER! We are off to a beautiful start!

Yes, I have wondered who was behind the Anthropoligie store displays. I wonder in the stores just to look at what is displayed and then always find something to buy. Love this post. Thanks so much for sharing
I love Vox Populi and would be happy with any piece created by Pascal. xv
Hi Jaclyn, not believing this, I have prepared a post on Pascal Palun for this week also! ..just visited the restaurant l’Escale in Greenwich where her chandeliers absolutely make the place sing…have always loved her work since discovering her in 2007…
great minds and all that…
I’ll definitely link back to you in my post, it’s a little different and the photos are different..
bisous

Hi Jackie,
As far as I know, this shop can still be found on rue Petite fusterie 84000, Avignon. I am absolutely dying to go to France right now and just thinking of this makes me “home”sick. If you make it there before I do, please send me some pictures!! xxj
I’ve tried and tried to get hold of Vox Populi, I hesitate to go down without an appt or at least knowing they are open when I’ll be there. But no luck-I even called and faxed…maybe they are out of town now? I may zip down and take my chances…how did you wrangle a visit?

Hi Jackie!
I apologize for the late response. It has been awhile since I have been there. I will reach out to some friends and see if I can find out! We do want a run down of your trip when you return!
xxj
[...] I’m super-motivated to visit France, as other bloggers have, and stop by the studio! That would certainly be a treat [...]
I love Pascale Palun’s work – it reminds me very much of an era gone by!
If you can get hold of it, there is a very interesting articale in Selvedge Magazine no. 37 about Pascale Palun – at least that is where I first heard about her!
Thank you so much for sharing these photographs!

can anyone give me a contact for them as we have been searching for so long… many thanks
I went to Avignon this month, November 2012, I stumbled upon this amazing place, I peered in the widows because it was closed. I went to France on a buying adventure for a store I have in Northern Va, Luciole Vintage. After a few calls I made an appt and was treated with such amazing respect and enthusiasm! They were wonderful to me and it felt like a crazy dream!
These pix are not her current digs, although they look similar. The pix posted are not of her current location, I have the card, vox.populi.deco@wandoo.fr
If I left out anything write me at Luciolevintage@gmail.com there is not the current address on the card…
